Can I keep my existing number?
Yes — 99% of Australian landline and 1300/1800 numbers can be ported in. We do the wholesale paperwork through Telstra/Optus and coordinate cutover so you have zero downtime. Use our port checker to confirm yours.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Sign up, we'll port your numbers, pre-configure your kit and ship it out. You pay for the handsets you buy (outright, not leased) plus the per-user monthly fee. That’s it.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Your numbers automatically fail over to mobile or any backup destination you choose (a mobile, another office, the after-hours queue). Calls keep flowing even when your office is dark. With the Teams plan there’s also a softphone fallback if Teams itself has an outage.
Do I have to buy your handsets?
No — use our mobile and desktop apps and you don’t need a single physical phone. If you do want desk phones, you buy them outright from us (or BYO any standard Yealink/Snom/Polycom/Cisco SIP phone — we’ll provision it).
How is this priced vs the big telcos?

Do you offer a service guarantee?
Yes. 99.95% uptime SLA with credits if we miss it, and we operate under the ACMA Customer Service Guarantee. Plus you can leave any time on 30 days’ notice — your guarantee is that we have to earn your business every month.
How long until we’re up and running?
Most businesses are live in 5–10 business days — the time it takes to port your numbers. The apps work the moment you sign up, and pre-configured handsets arrive plug-and-go. No truck rolls, no engineer visits, no waiting weeks for an install window.
Can I use my mobile as my work phone?
Yes. The IppyComms softphone runs on iOS and Android, so your business number rings and dials out from your mobile while your personal number stays private. Desktop apps for Windows and macOS mean the same extension follows you between the office, home and the road.
What internet do I need for it to work well?
Any stable NBN, fibre or 4G/5G connection handles VoIP comfortably — each call uses well under 0.1 Mbps. During setup we check your connection and can prioritise voice traffic (QoS) on your router so calls stay crisp on a busy line. If the internet drops, calls fail over to mobile automatically.
Can I record calls for compliance?
