Will switching disrupt my business?
No. We port numbers in the background and cut over per user with zero-downtime, usually outside business hours. Most teams notice nothing but a better phone.
Will I lose my phone numbers?
No. We port about 99% of Australian numbers for free in 5–10 business days, so you keep every number. Check yours with the port checker.
How long does porting take?
Typically 5–10 business days once the paperwork is in. We keep your old service live until the port completes, so there’s no gap.
Can I keep my existing handsets?
Often yes. Standard SIP handsets — Yealink, Snom, Polycom, Cisco — can be reprovisioned to IppyComms at no charge. We’ll check your models first.
What about my current contract or exit fees?
We help you time the switch around your contract end and can run both services in parallel during the transition, so you’re never paying twice unnecessarily.
Is there really no lock-in?
Yes. Month-to-month with 30 days notice and no exit penalty. If we stop earning your business, you can walk — that’s the whole point.
